Roguelike Thingy Update 0.5
This may or may not be the last update, I think if I change anything else its just going to be adding sound, changing the menu title, cutting down the starting inventory, and maybe adjusting item drop rates.
This update added player exp, enemy stat scaling, and item drop rates dependent on the dungeon depth.
Bug fixes/Changes:
- Player stats and the equipment menu stats update properly
- Player health is capped at 28(14 hearts)
- Player Arm(armor) stat reduces enemy damage taken
- Game saving/loading works (who knows if this is true, I only had a bit to test it...)
- Res was changed to Mag, it now does something! It adds to spell damage dealt.
There's a lot of feature's I'd want to implement if this wasn't a learning project, like making specters teleport behind the player, adding some ranged monster attacks, changing the environment as the player progresses, saving failed runs in a graveyard or sorts, item afixes, merchants, a way to drop unnecessary bag items, some kind of manual that explains the different weapon types, stats, and monsters, mobile controls, etc. Overall I had a lot of fun working on this, but the code is so spagetti'd I think I want to start over with more thoughtful code design.
